We started the day with a much needed energizer – tell as many facts about yourself as many papers you took.
We explored non-formal methods in order to empower tolerance in connection to the types of discrimination: wealth, political believes, nationality/ religion, sex, sexual orientation, looks, illness/ handicap
Practice I- Case study. All groups receive the same story regarding discrimination of nurse based on mental health. Groups were requested to provide 1 best solution for problem.
Practice II – Body memories. Applying autobiographical method. Every group had given objects related to different illnesses like lemon, cinnamon, rubber gloves, medicine, toasted brad- to recall taste, smell and touch. Also we had images of wheelchairs and listened to different sounds. In each group we told a personal story which was recalled by any of those senses.
Practice III Discrimination regarding wealth- video with social experiment and discussion afterwards.
Practice IV- Autobiographical method- objects. Large sheet of paper where everybody could paint, draw or write a story where they felt discrimination regarding wealth.
We finished the day by working on ROST blog, brochure, movie.
